Other Ways To Give

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

The Community Outreach Team (COT) is committed to putting God’s Love in Motion through educational and charitable endeavors. The COT hosts Coffee House Speaker Series on timely topics meant to inform and enlighten. In addition, the group sponsors charitable work to improve the lives of those in need.  Your donation will expand the impact of the TEAM so that more can be served.

WAYNE INTERFAITH NETWORK FOOD PANTRY

Our church supports WIN through monthly food collections. The primary purpose of the WIN Food Pantry is to distribute non-perishable nutritious food, cleaning supplies and personal care products to eligible area residents in need. Your donation will allow us to buy gift cards to distribute to those in need.

FRIENDS OF MUSIC

This fund celebrates God’s beautiful gift of music in our lives.  Proceeds help to cover the cost of guest musicians at PCC.

ANGELS CALLING

Our church supports several local families with food donations, school supplies and birthday and holiday gifts.  Angels Calling also runs the annual Christmas gift-giving program through the Salvation Army.

How We Use Your Gifts

About Your Impact

Your gift enables the Packanack Community Church to fulfill its mission of providing a welcoming place for all who wish to seek God's presence.

Our Church’s Wider Mission & Special Mission Offerings

Packanack Community Church is a member of the United Church of Christ, and a portion of gifts help the Special Mission Offerings. These gifts sponsor vital ministries that bring hope to people in the U.S. and around the world.  Our church has identified four areas where critical human needs exist:

  • in places lacking health and educational resources and/or where disaster has struck
  • within systems of injustice which oppress daily life and opportunity
  • in the lives of church leaders without sufficient resources to live with dignity
  • in the nurture of youth and congregations just beginning their lives of faith

Packanack Community Church provides gifts to the following Special Mission Offerings:

OUR CHURCH’S WIDER MISSION

Basic Support (OCWM Basic)

OCWM Basic support enables associations, conferences, the national setting, and some of our affiliated partners to continue providing the care and services that are vital to the United Church of Christ.  OCWM Basic support is generally given at local churches, where the funds are then sent to their associations and conferences before being forwarded to the national offices in Cleveland.  (Individual donors are encouraged to give through their local churches for Our Church’s Wider Mission Basic Support.

ONE GREAT HOUR OF SHARING

One Great Hour of Sharing (OGHS) works with international partners to provide sources of clean water, food, education and health care, small business micro-credit, advocacy and resettlement for refugees and displaced persons and emergency relief and rehabilitation. OGHS also supports domestic and international ministries for disaster preparedness and response.
